The first, “Measuring and managing performance in the Tuscan healthcare ecosystem. People, processes, and policies,” presents a comprehensive overview of the region’s healthcare reforms and the decision-support tools designed to improve policy-making, management, and service delivery throughout Tuscany.
The second, “The Observatory of the Population of the Internal Areas of Tuscany,” recounts the experience of the Observatory of the Population of the Internal Areas of Tuscany, a participatory platform and management tool that places citizens and local communities at the center as protagonists of their own health.
The third, “Mapping the Third Sector and Independent Living in Casentino,” stems from the need to explore the strategic role of third sector organizations in the Casentino area.
The fourth, “Cancer prevention in the inland areas of Tuscany: the mobile multi-screening model and the DOMUS project,” summarizes the basic idea behind the PNRR’s investments in healthcare, which must consider not only the treatment of disease but also the overall care of the person to be provided at the citizen’s home as the type of services offered.
The fifth, “A new telemedicine model for local healthcare in inland areas of the Tuscany Region,” addresses the situation of residents in geographically isolated and inland areas of the Tuscany Region, such as Elba Island, Garfagnana, and Casentino, who experience a double vulnerability: limited healthcare services and often more complex health needs.
