Spoke 3 focuses on developing and integrating advanced technologies for health and human well-being, enhancing innovation, protection, and validation of new services and diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitation models. It emphasizes support for social-healthcare systems and public spaces.
In particular, this spoke aims to develop new products in the industrial context, such as the first solderless ultrasound probe, tested and verified in real-time on the latest generation echographs; it solves active issues in pilot experiments and cases of use within the territory; it develops new sensor systems, technologies, and concepts.
In its operations, it adopts a multidisciplinary approach that combines expertise in bioengineering, electronics, informatics, physics, biology, chemistry, and medicine. It involves specialists in social sciences and humanities, promoting opportunities for innovation and digitalization in the socio-healthcare sector.
The consortium includes major players such as PMI, research organizations, public authorities, health care providers and social organizations, responding to the needs of the elderly, caregivers, medical professionals, and social-healthcare operators, offering the opportunity to leverage innovative digital tools to support a wider population.
