Spoke 2 is dedicated to preventive medicine to address chronic diseases with high public health impact, such as diabetes, cancer, hypertension, and
cardiovascular disease, while also taking into account environmental exposure.
The focus is on a molecular approach to redefine diseases through the identification and use of biomarkers. The goal is to validate advanced diagnostic methodologies based on understanding molecular mechanisms, enabling patient stratification, treatment personalization, and drug repositioning. Through the identification of advanced biomarkers, monitoring devices and innovative methods of data analysis, an
integrated and personalized understanding of health is aimed at.

Spoke 2 focuses on innovative targets for drugs against colon cancer and neurodegenerative diseases, with the use of fecal microbiota transplantation as a new approach for the prevention of cognitive decline. It aims to strengthen the national research system, promote public policies for innovation, and accompany the health system in the transition to advanced data and therapy management.Strongly multidisciplinary involving Physicists, Physicians, Radio-
Oncologists, Chemists, and Biologists.
