Tuscany Health Ecosystem has established its own medium to long-term technological vision withinSpoke 4, developing new nanotechnologies for diagnosis and therapy as key, highly interdisciplinary methods for life sciences and biomedical applications.
The general objective of Spoke 4 is, therefore, the achievement and development of new nanotechnological methods and instruments for diagnosis and therapy, focusing on three main directions:
– Intelligent nano-agents;
– Advanced manufacturing for nanomedicine;
– Development of precision nanomedicine platforms.
Given the interdisciplinary nature of the research, the scientific and technological themes of Spoke 4 range from physics to pharmaceutical sciences, from translational medicine to engineering, and from chemistry to biochemistry. In these fields, a network of coordinated laboratories has also been established.
