SAGE-IT – Solutions and Expertise for Active and Healthy Aging

SAGE-IT is an initiative funded under the National Program for Research, Innovation, and Competitiveness for the Green and Digital Transition 2021–2027 (PN RIC 2021–2027), Notice D.D. No. 307 of March 18, 2025, dedicated to promoting active and healthy aging through technological innovation, interdisciplinary research, and skills development.

The project, presented by Age-It scarl and co-proposed by THE scarl, was launched with the goal of developing, validating, and disseminating innovative solutions capable of improving the quality of life for older adults by promoting independence, social inclusion, and access to increasingly effective health and care services.

By engaging universities, research institutions, businesses, public institutions, and local organizations, SAGE-IT promotes collaboration between research and innovation, supporting the development of digital technologies, prevention tools, advanced care models, and training programs tailored to the challenges of longevity.

The project is part of a broader framework of national and European initiatives focused on the silver economy and the digital transformation of health and social care systems, contributing to the development of innovative local ecosystems capable of generating tangible benefits for citizens, businesses, and communities.
