The PRIN 2026 Notice (Research Projects of Significant National Interest) has been published, one of the main tools for financing basic research in Italy.
Some key elements:
• Budget per project: between 1 and 1.2 million euros
• Structured consortia: minimum 4 – maximum 6 research units
• Duration: 3 years
• Expiry: 1 June 2026 (3pm)
The call aims to:
• strengthen collaboration between universities, research bodies and AFAM
• support projects with a high scientific and innovative content
• promote solid and integrated research networks
