May 27, 2025, 10:15 a.m.: final event of THACH (Tuscany Health Ecosystem Hackathon Challenge)

It will be held in Florence on May 27 at 10:15 a.m. the final event of THACH (Tuscany Health Ecosystem Hackathon Challenge), a two-month entrepreneurial course created as part of spoke 5 activities to stimulate the formulation of solutions in the life science field through multidisciplinary approaches and creative thinking.

During the morning, the participating teams will present the proposals developed during the course to a panel of experts, who will provide insights and considerations on the work done and the actual possibilities of translating the hypothesized solutions into products or services.

Proposals:

  • CareToy 2.0: modular system of sensorized toys designed for early motor assessment of possible neurodevelopmental disorders in children.
  • VENART: soft-robotics-based system for assisting ventricular function
  • Fluosurgery: fluorescent systems as a new tool for image-guided surgery of gastric cancer
  • SMART-PD: a solution for integrated and personalized rehabilitation and monitoring of Parkinson’s patients
  • NOISE AWARE: app for hearing impairment awareness and prevention
  • NeuroVR: portable sensor-based virtual reality system for personalized rehabilitation in Parkinson’s patients
  • Dime4everyone: universal surgical template with positioning verification via augmented reality

The event will conclude with networking farewells.
