In addition to their impact on mortality, they are among the main causes of disability, early retirement, and reduced quality of life. <\/p><p data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1435\">However, these are largely preventable diseases, for which timely intervention can generate significant benefits both for citizens and for the sustainability of healthcare systems.<\/p><h4 data-section-id=\"eh7hcy\" data-start=\"1442\" data-end=\"1486\">The Key Role of Early Diagnosis<\/h4><p data-start=\"1488\" data-end=\"1704\">According to the Commission, health checks and screening programs are essential for early detection of risk conditions, such as hypertension, before symptoms appear.<\/p><p data-start=\"1706\" data-end=\"1748\">However, significant challenges remain:<\/p><ul data-start=\"1749\" data-end=\"1959\"><li data-section-id=\"1vvnkfo\" data-start=\"1749\" data-end=\"1849\">less than half of Member States have structured cardiovascular screening programs;<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1sgey25\" data-start=\"1850\" data-end=\"1959\">more than a third of Europeans aged 25 to 64 have not had their blood pressure measured in the past year.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"1961\" data-end=\"2051\">These data highlight the need to strengthen coordinated strategies at the European level.<\/p><h4 data-section-id=\"6mflyz\" data-start=\"2058\" data-end=\"2094\">From Consultation to Action<\/h4><p data-start=\"2096\" data-end=\"2199\">The Call for Evidence represents a crucial step in gathering useful contributions to define:<\/p><ul data-start=\"2200\" data-end=\"2308\"><li data-section-id=\"1oi8whg\" data-start=\"2200\" data-end=\"2241\">the main critical issues to be addressed<\/li><li data-section-id=\"1o3dbtx\" data-start=\"2242\" data-end=\"2271\">the priorities for intervention<\/li><li data-section-id=\"hlrxa8\" data-start=\"2272\" data-end=\"2308\">the possible operational solutions.<\/li><\/ul><p data-start=\"2310\" data-end=\"2444\">The goal is to develop a European plan capable of making a concrete impact on the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases.<\/p><h4 data-section-id=\"yujvqj\" data-start=\"2451\" data-end=\"2501\">The contribution of research ecosystems<\/h4><p data-start=\"2503\" data-end=\"2735\">In this context, initiatives like <strong data-start=\"2539\" data-end=\"2573\">THE \u2013 Tuscany Health Ecosystem<\/strong> can play a strategic role in connecting research, data, and innovation, contributing to the development of advanced prevention and early diagnosis models.<\/p><p data-start=\"2737\" data-end=\"2910\">The integration and effective use of health data, including at a European level, represent a fundamental lever for addressing major public health challenges.<\/p><h4 data-section-id=\"1ax11mv\" data-start=\"2917\" data-end=\"2939\">How to participate<\/h4><div>The consultation is open until <strong data-start=\"2975\" data-end=\"2993\">May 19, 2026<\/strong>.
