These are the words of  Alessandra Petrucci, Rector of the University of Florence and a woman of science. An engineer with a PhD in applied statistics, Petrucci has nurtured \u201ccuriosity and a passion for knowledge\u201d since she was a child. Today, on the occasion of the  International Day of Women and Girls in Science,  she discusses with Fortune Italia <\/i>the challenges and characteristics of the digital-native generation, with a focus on STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and gender equality in the  PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) projects.
\u201cThere is still much to be done,\u201d she says, \u201cbut the signs are encouraging.\u201d <\/p>\n
