Clinical research, health data, and biobanks \u2013 Guidance documents developed by Spoke 5 now available<\/strong><\/p>

Healthcare data are now at the forefront of innovation in the health sector, but their management and use require particular attention for ethical, privacy, regulatory, and technical reasons in their processing, from the moment they are produced or provided. As part of the activities of Spoke 5, an analysis of these issues was therefore carried out as a tool to frame the reference context, enriched by the contribution of experts who explored specific aspects related to the accreditation of biobanks, the problem of monetizing biological samples, data sharing, and the impact of digitalization on clinical research. <\/p>

Two guidance documents were subsequently developed and made available: one concerning the reality of biobanks (https:\/\/doi.org\/10.5281\/zenodo.17598346<\/a>) and the second on the use of health data for research purposes (https:\/\/tinyurl.com\/mjzzhha6<\/a>).<\/p>

Although the context in which these issues arise is continuously and rapidly evolving, the documents presented aim to provide an overall perspective for those approaching these important tools of clinical research for the first time.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
